Nick

Nicholas Stuart

Nicholas Stuart has always been interested in music. As a child his favorite stories, games and toys were all associated with music. In his youth, Nick was experienced only classical music, and indeed, the 80s music he did hear never appealed to him. In fourth grade, Nick learnt to play trombone for his school band, but was bothered by a feeling that he hadn't found the sound he was looking for. His interest turned to the piano, which he learnt to play with great excitement. However, he still hadn't found what he sought after. As a teen, a certain sound haunted Nick and he began to adamantly pursue it. Finally, he heard Nirvana's album, Nevermind. The raw excitement of the distorted guitars swept him up and he trashed his room at summer camp. He had found the sound he had been looking for: the electric guitar! He quickly learnt to play and was soon writing the best rock songs of his generation.

Joe

Joe

Joe's musical career began at age 2 when he interrupted his father's piano practice, demanding to be taught how to play what he was hearing. He was a quick study and was soon playing the works of composers such as Rachmaninoff. As an early adolescent, Joe became fascinated with unusual harmonies and meters, and found himself developing interesting musical inventions based on them. To accommodate these new ideas, Joe began to study the clarinet. By middle school, Joe realized that he needed something other than his clarinet. It was then that he discovered rock music and the bass; he proceeded to learn his favorite songs on an upright bass during lunch. Finally, he acquired a bass guitar and quickly began to master it. Captivated by the idea of creating music, Joe was drawn to Nicholas Stuart's early music. When he heard Nicky lamenting that he just couldn't find a bass player anywhere, Joe promptly volunteered his services. He was soon tearing up bredbored's complex bass riffs.

Richard

Richard

When Richard was 4 years old, his mother's organ playing provoked the same interest in him. A few years of dabbling on the organ led to a keyboard purchase, and the beginning of Richard's musical career. After several years of recording personal instrumentals and playing with friend's bands, Richard traded in the keys in pursuit of sometime edgier - the guitar. An acoustic led to an electric, and Richard thought he had found his instrument. Then, one of his college friends bought a digital drum set. At this point, Richard realized that not only could he play drums, he could rock them! No instrument had given him quite this feeling before. After a few years of hacking with friends, Richard needed more. This yearning brought him to bredbored. He is partial to the "catchy sound" that Nick's songs have and loves creating bredbored's funky beats.
