bredbored is the answer to MTV's desperate search for great new music. Unlike other current bands, bredbored's music is of such quality that the band could be your favourite of all time. Built upon a solid foundation of grunge and rock and roll, Nicholas Stuart's songs breathe new life into genres once feared obsolete.

"Anyone can relate to our songs," says Nicholas Stuart. "They're all about love, hate, life, death, hope and helplessness--feelings with which we are all familiar."

Behind all this confidence is a great deal of experience. Nicholas Stuart has been writing songs for over ten years. He learnt guitar from Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix, fusing the two styles to create his own exciting sound. He has been singing all his life. "I liked playing with toys that had a theme song so I could sing along."

But the talent doesn't only lie with him. Joe and Richard have also been musicians throughout their lives. They both started out on piano, but each subsequently explored new methods of expression: Joe took up the clarinet and then the bass, while Richard went tried out guitar before settling on drums.

Upon hearing Nicholas Stuart's songs, Joe was thrilled with excitement and suggested they start a band. "Joe said, 'Everyone loves your songs. Why don't you have a band?'" They began looking for a drummer and soon found Richard who said, "You guys are playing great music, of course I wanna join your project!" Now Joe rips through bredbored's complicated bass riffs with breathtaking ease, while Richard provides a dynamic rhythmic backing.

All that was left to find was a name. "We chose bredbored because we wanted a name that was significant. In America the standard of living is high enough that one has time to be bored. When one is bored, one passes the time with introspection. bredbored is introspection incarnate." Certainly, bredbored will alleviate any boredom.
